  John Griffin

John Griffin is the longest serving member of the Arlington Housing Authority and is the past Chairman of the Authority. John has served on the Arlington Housing Authority since 1989 and has served as Chairman of the Board on four different occasions. He is a former Town Meeting Member from Precinct 12 and has served as a member of the Affordable Housing Task Force representing the Authority. He also works on a number of subcommittees of the AHA that included the revenue generating committee, the Tenant President Liaison Committee and others.

John was born February 3, 1960 at Symmes Hospital in Arlington, MA. He is a lifelong resident of Arlington. He attended Brackett School Kindergarten and remembers fondly of being walked across Eastern Ave. by Traffic Guard Ms. Julie Morrison, who now crosses his son, Brendan, who attends a Brackett first grade class. John graduated from St. Agnes School and Arlington Catholic High School. John has taken numerous classes at Middlesex Community College, Northeastern University, and Boston University.

In addition to his selling real estate in Arlington for the past 19 years, John has also worked as a leasing agent, in property management, and as a database analyst. He is serving his third term on the Arlington Housing Authority. He is married to Maureen Griffin and has two sons, Brendan and Aidan.
